My new last name has lead to me really enjoying Valentine’s Day (even if t is a cheesy Hallmark holiday). Bring on the hearts.

This month was all about wellness. I attended 34 yoga classes and did my best to make healthy choices. I cut way down on my wine intake (upped the H20 intake) and logged lots of mindful moments in my Fitbit. I’m feeling like a million bucks and ready to retox tomorrow at my company’s 15th Birthday happy hour.

I have been feeling grateful that both my Hubby and I love our jobs. It’s rare to find a career path that feeds your soul in a positive way. We are both so lucky to work where we do.

Hope you had a fantastic February and you have fun on the horizon in March. Cheers!

Just because my journal has ended doesn’t mean my blogging has to stop. I am going to continue to recap the things I am most grateful for each month. It makes me happy sharing my life.

January was a whirlwind. This month I found gratitude in:

  • Peyton’s 5th Birthday.
  • A successful work trip for CES.
  • A second successful work trip in Palm Desert.
  • Time reconnecting with dear friends.

Looking forward to some wellness in February. I am doing a yoga challenge and focusing on eating clean. My body is craving it after Italy and the holidays. Namaste! Thank you for stopping by.

I finished my journal. I have written 1825 sentences of gratitude for the last 5 years. I’m really proud of myself. When I look back through the journal I can’t help but get happy tears in the corners of my eyes. The last five years have brought so much joy and it’s all documented. Having a gratitude journal has completely changed my outlook in life. Without a shadow of a doubt I can say that I see the world differently now. Life is most beautiful when it is imperfect.

The last month of my journal was spent enjoying the holidays despite having the plague. My Husband (I still can’t believe I have one of those) and I traveled to Santa Barbara, San Jose, Big Sur, and SLO over Christmas.

I leave you with a grateful Hart. Thank you for joining me in my journey the last five years. It meant a lot.

Twelve Years Later

One month married. Twelve years as a couple. November was spent:

  • Celebrating us.
  • At Topgolf in Las Vegas.
  • Enjoying Turkey Day with the Steels.
  • In Mexico at Telefonica.

I am one month away from finishing my journal. I can’t believe it. Blows my mind. Thank you for reading.

Honeymooning is magic. I can’t say enough good things about Italy. My Love and I spent the first two weeks as newlyweds exploring Rome, Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast.

La vita è bella.

P.S. Happy 1st Birthday to my Beautiful Niece, Bailey Rae. I had an aperol spritz in honor of you, Sweet Girl.

This month was my favorite ever. I married the love of my life in Santa Barbara and it was perfection. Excited to leave on our honeymoon to Italy tomorrow. My Hart is full of gratitude. I’m a wife. Bring on the carbs and the wine.

Petite Pearl

31 Aug

2017-09-12_1855

It’s the last day of August. Holy $hit. I can’t believe it’s about to be September.

Every night before I go to bed I write one sentence in my journal. This sentence is the happiest part of my day. This month has been so much fun that I typically have had more than one sentence to jot down.

The Dip

I lost my beloved Fitbit in San Francisco during a boozy Birthday bar crawl. May it rest in peace. Not to worry, I already bought a new one.

The Bursts

August 2017 was the best and here’s why:

  • I picked out jewelry for my wedding and when I went to pay I was told my WONDERFUL Fiance was taking care of the bill (so gangsta)!
  • I got to see Metallica in concert for FREE!
  • My love and I ordered our wedding bands (YAY)!
  • I spent ten days in the Bay Area with my family and framily!
  • I rubbed Mags’ baby bump!
  • I had a sleepover with my Nephew!
  • I made my Niece smile!
  • I got to camp out on the field at Petco Park!
  • My ClassyWAGs threw me an unbachelorette party!
  • AND THE BEST OF ALL, Petite Pearl was born today! I can’t wait to meet her at our wedding.

That’s it for August. I have a feeling next month is going to be my fave ever.
